What is Holistic Therapy?
Holistic comes from the Greek word ‘Holos’ meaning treating the whole body; mind, body, soul and emotions as one. Rather than just addressing the initial symptom holistic therapy will search for the underlying source by considering the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual state of health and wellbeing of the patient. It is then the aim to work on restoring the natural balance within the body itself, giving the patient a more rewarding quality of life.
3 energy fields
Within holistic therapy we work with 3 energy fields:
Body – physical energy
Mind – rest and peace of mind
Soul – Spiritual energy. Love for yourself and to learn to accept what is.
Using holistic therapy I can help you with the balancing from all three of the above energy fields. I use the following techniques, NEI therapy (Neuro Emotional integration), homeopathic remedies, flower remedies, cutting the ties that bind therapy (therapy introduced by Phyllis Kristal), working with chakras, meridian highways.
Holistic treatment is a response to what some people see as a more reactionary approach to health – the tendency to treat symptoms only, instead of finding and treating the root cause. Many people who have felt like traditional medicine has failed them have turned to holistic medicine in hopes that their practitioners will understand the complex nature of their illness, dig deeper into the source(s) of the issue, and focus their treatment on the whole person, not just the obvious symptoms.
